HP Spectre Pro x360 G1 Laptop

HP Spectre Pro x360 G1 Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

I’ve never totally understood why people own tablets. It’s probably the reason I never got into them, even at their conception. Why would I want a bigger version of my phone, when I have a more powerful laptop I’m already carrying in a bag? It’s the same reason that my Surface RT sits on the shelf, mostly collecting dust. Even the “merging” of the two offered in some laptops never truly sold me, because they would always be as limited as a tablet. However, the HP Spectre Pro x360 G1 with battery like HP HSTNN-UB6Q Battery, HP T7B31AA Battery, HP 801517-541 Battery, HP 801517-421 Battery, HP 717861-141 Battery, HP 718102-001 Battery, HP H6L39AA Battery, HP HSTNN-IB4U Battery, HP HSTNN-LB4U Battery, HP HSTNN-UB4U Battery, HP TPN-Q126 Battery, HP HY04 Battery may have changed my mind, offering as it does the power of a laptop with the convenience of a tablet.

was genuinely impressed with the Spectre. Initially I had concerns due to its size – it weighs in at a mere 3.2 lbs, and feels a bit thin at .61” when folded. However, the Spectre is surprisingly sturdy, with a durable metallic feel to it. At 2.5” x 8.5”, the Spectre fits comfortably in most bags, and its lightweight feel never wears on your back. The 13.3″ LED touchscreen is solid, responsive, and easy to maintain. I never once felt worried as I folded it about and sat it upon the table so I could watch videos in a crisp 1920 x 1080 resolution while I was washing dishes.

The battery life on the Spectre is phenomenal, lasting upwards to 12-hours on a single charge. The unit also charges pretty quickly, which is helpful to those of us who might otherwise overcharge their computer by falling asleep with it plugged in. Given the combo of strong battery and efficient charging, I found I never unexpectedly ran out of battery.

The Spectre x360 Pro sold me on the idea that laptops can be tablets, and tablets can be laptops. It’s perfectly versatile, convenient to use, and backed by more power than you’d expect in a device like this. For a laptop ranging from $1500-2000 (depending on the customization) it really is worth the price, especially as an alternative to the Windows Surface Book that currently dominates the market. If you’re in the market for a device with all the power of a laptop and the ease of use that comes with a tablet, the Spectre x360 Pro is the one for you.

OMEN 15 by HP 15-ce020ca Laptop Review

OMEN 15 by HP 15-ce020ca Laptop Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

HP is a well-known name in the computer and laptop world and their Omen line prides itself on providing a top-tier gaming experience. Their newest laptop, the Omen 15 feels very much like a new sports car, as it’s flashy, impressive and held back a little by a few strange shortcomings. Right off the bat, the Omen 15 by HP with battery such as HP ProBook 470 G3 Battery, HP 805047-251 Battery, HP 805047-851 Battery, HP HSTNN-Q95C Battery, HP 805294-001 Battery, HP 811063-421 Battery, HP ProBook 640 G2 Battery, HP ProBook 650 G2 Battery, HP 801517-831 Battery, HP 801554-001 Battery, HP CI03 Battery, HP HSTNN-PB6K Battery makes a great first impression based on its looks alone. Its got a sleek-red aesthetic and even before you flip it open, the Omen symbol and the dual cross textured design makes it stand out. That being said, while the outward logo is rather striking, it is also a rather flimsy textured sticker that ended up coming un-stuck out of the box. It didn’t affect any of the actual functionalities of the device, but it did give it a bit of a cheap feel. Thankfully, that feeling of cheapness very much melts away when you actually open up the laptop.

Starting with the shape, the Omen 15 by HP features a striking design that has space in between the screen and base on both sides. In that space rests the cooling vents and they make give the laptop a very futuristic look. As for the keyboard, it has a great texture and a satisfying click-ability, that has some weight to it. It’s also still easy to push and is easily one of the best keyboards that I’ve ever used. While all of the keys do feature the red theme and look good in their own right, it seems like a missed opportunity that they don’t actually light up. If this were a lightweight portable device, then I wouldn’t count that as a fault but for a gaming laptop, it feels like a strange omission. As for the trackpad, it’s really something that you should only use as a last resort, as its cumbersome movement tracking makes actions as simple as streaming some highlights on youtube into a frustrating experience. It’s kind of a given with any gaming laptop, but please do yourself a favour and get yourself a quality mouse to use when gaming with this device.

Price wise, the Omen by HP costs $1,599. 99 CDN and is definitely in the upper echelon of gaming laptops in that regard. While the price is high, the laptop features some top-notch performance as it utilizes Intel’s I7 7th gen core as well as Nvidia’s Geoforce GTX graphics card. It also has a rather large 15. 6-inch screen that further adds to its visual impact. As a result, the display is sharp and I was able to play PUBG, Fortnite and Overwatch without any technical hiccups. Also, as far as media streaming goes, the Omen by HP also shines. I was able to view the Overwatch League at the highest possible settings, and the display was noticeably more crisp than that of my Mac Book Pro.

Speaking of media streaming capabilities, the Omen by HP really rounds into form with its top-tier sound quality courtesy of Danish speaker maker Bang and Olufsen. Whether it was streaming an Overwatch League match between the Dallas Fuel and Houston Outlaws, or watching a movie on Netflix I found myself genuinely enthralled by the sound quality.

The Omen by HP is a great package and manages to impress with its attractive aesthetic, top-tier performance and great speakers. And while its lack of a light up keyboard and the flimsy cover sticker is a little disappointing, when the overall package is this complete, those complaints very much fade into the background. If you’re looking to jumpstart your PC gaming experience with a device that also provides great media capabilities then the Omen by HP is definitely a great choice.

HP ZBook Studio G4 Laptop

HP ZBook Studio G4 Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

Whether it's the Dell XPS 15 (9560) or the HP Spectre 13, here at Reviewed we test drive a lot of gorgeous laptops. Though an eye-catching design is nice, these high-end laptops need to deliver some serious power too. And that's just what the HP ZBook Studio G4 with battery like HP 751875-001 Battery, HP 751681-421 Battery, HP 751681-231 Battery, HP Pavilion 11-N000SNX Battery, HP Pavilion 11 X360 Battery, HP X360 310 G1 Battery, HP HSTNN-DB7B Battery, HP HSTNN-PB6Q Battery, HP HSTNN-Q97C Battery, HP P3G16AA Battery, HP RI06 Battery, HP ProBook 450 G3 Battery aims to do.

You may come for the ZBook's gunmetal-gray exterior, but you'll be staying for its powerful internals. This workstation can handle the most demanding of power users. Did I mention the 4K display is almost a perfect ten, too? Plus, the FastCharge feature is pretty much a gift from the beyond. Between the design, powerful components, flawless display, and smart features, there is a ton to love here.

That doesn't mean the ZBook is without flaws, though. Battery life is disappointing, so you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for an outlet. The high price for the top-tier configuration may deter those on a tight budget as well. And, while this is a minor nitpick, the lid attracts lots of finger smudges. If you're a video editor or someone who works with 3D modeling, the HP ZBook is a great choice.

The HP ZBook has a couple of different configurations. We're working with the high-end version ($3,290.61), which features an Intel Xeon 1535M (7th Gen) processor and a 4K UHD 15.6-inch IPS (3840 x 2160) display. It's basically the most expensive thing I've ever handled. Yeah, to say it's a nerve wracking experience is an understatement. With that being said, whether you want 16GB of RAM or 1TB of SSD storage, you can really customize your workstation at checkout. Here are the specs inside our unit:

CPU: Intel Xeon 1535M (7th Gen)
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro M1200 (4GB)
Display: 4K UHD 15.6-inch IPS (3840 x 2160)
Memory: 32GB ECC (2x16GB)
Storage: 512GB PCIe SSD (MLC)
Battery: 92 Whr Fast Charging
Weight: 4.9 lbs

Unless you're rolling in dough (sounds fun), the top-shelf configuration isn't feasible for most folks. If you really want to strip it down (bye-bye fingerprint reader) and get the cheapest configuration, you can get it for $1,738.80 on the HP website. This model includes 8GB of RAM, an Intel Core i5-7300HQ processor, and 128GB of SSD storage. Personally? I think it's overpriced. You're better off with the 15-inch Dell Precision 5520 base configuration, as it costs several hundred dollars less and you get more storage.

In our PC Mark 8 test, which cycles through a bunch of intensive tasks, the HP ZBook petered out in an hour and a half. You'll need to claim an outlet, as it's not going to last a full day. In our WiFi browsing test, which cycles through lighter tasks, it died in about two hours. Again, not fantastic. While battery life is less than stellar, at least it charges fast.

If you're a demanding power user, the HP ZBook is where the party's at. Between the Intel Xeon 1535M (7th Gen) processor and 32GB of ECC memory, it totally dominated our CPU benchmark. In addition to the powerful internals, the display is really colorful as well. It's also bright enough to easily combat glare and ambient light. Last but not least, the FastCharge feature is a blessing, as it reaches a full charge in a little under an hour. While there's a lot we like, we had a few gripes.

The high-end model is very expensive. Unless you're working with a flexible budget, I imagine the $3,290.61 price tag is out of the question for most people. Battery life is disappointing, too. However, with great power comes poor battery life, so it's not unexpected. The exterior is also a fingerprint magnet, so you'll need to keep a microfiber cloth handy. It bothers me a lot, but I wouldn't say it's a deal-breaker.

Drawbacks aside, this is an extremely powerful machine. It's great for 3D modeling and video editing, but it's too powerful for basic use. Besides, there are cheaper options out there with this much RAM and similarly powerful discrete graphics cards. So, unless you are in dire need of a true workstation-level machine you can take anywhere, there are likely better options.

HP 14-an013nr Laptop Review

HP 14-an013nr Laptop Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

If you're in the market for a cheap laptop, you have plenty of options. Walk into any electronics store and you'll find at least a couple laptops under $200. The problem? It might be a total hunk o' junk.

That's why we're so excited about this HP. It's not pretty, it's not fancy, and it doesn't have a fancy schmancy name like "Spectre." But if you need a laptop under $200, the HP 14-an013nr (MSRP around $200) with battery such as HP EL04XL Battery, HP 681949-541 Battery, HP 681949-001 Battery, HP 681879-541 Battery, HP 681879-1C1 Battery, HP 681879-171 Battery, HP 681879-121 Battery, HP Envy 4-1252LA Battery, HP TPN-C115 Battery, HP PL02XL Battery, HP HSTNN-LB6B Battery, HP HSTNN-DB6B Battery is undoubtedly the best I've tried.

Its big, 14-inch HD IPS screen is far and away the best-in-class, it's got just enough ports, and just enough power to handle day-to-day tasks like Netflix streaming and light multitasking, without getting too bogged down.

The battery life isn't great and there isn't very much internal storage, but for students or anyone who needs a good laptop at a low price, this is the best of the bunch.

Unlike a lot of the laptops you can buy for around $200, this HP uses an AMD chip inside, giving it a surprisingly zippy character for light games and web browsing. That, plus 4 GB RAM and 32 GB eMMC storage give it a quick boot time from a cold start of around 12 seconds (from pressing the power button to the lock screen). All versions of this laptop have the following system specifications:

•AMD E2-7110 quad-core processor
•4 GB DDR3 RAM
•32 GB eMMC flash storage
•14-inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS LCD screen
•Radeon R2 integrated graphics
•WiFi AC/Bluetooth 4.2
•10/100 wired ethernet

In our intensive PCMark 8 Home battery life test, the HP 14-an013nr struggled to make it past three hours. That's not a great result, and in the real world you're likely looking at 4-5 hours of work and multitasking. But, this laptop's old-school design has an external battery that's easy to detach and replace, so if you need extra runtime, you could always pick up a second to carry with you.

HP's outdone itself here. Even though its Stream notebooks have been a great option in the past, the HP 14-an013nr is a far superior laptop. Its class-leading display, zippy processor, capable keyboard, and plentiful ports help make it easily worth its low, low $200 cost. It even easily outdoes HP's previous $200 model, the HP Stream 11, which sticks with a low-res, grainy 11-inch screen.

Does it rival a MacBook Pro? Of course not! But you can buy eight HPs for the cost of one Mac. If you only have around $200 to spend on a laptop and need Windows 10, the HP 14-an013nr is definitely the one to pick up.

HP 15-BS020WM Touchscreen Laptop Review

HP 15-BS020WM Touchscreen Laptop Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

The HP 15-BS020WM would be an appealing bargain if you need a basic, daily use laptop. Like its budget competitors, this version of the HP 15 provides little CPU power, not-so-much storage, and average battery life with battery like HP 634818-271 Battery, HP 635146-001 Battery, HP FN04 Battery, HP HFTNN-DB0H Battery, HP QG644PA Battery, HP QK648AA Battery, HP ProBook 5330M Battery, HP Envy 4T-1200 Battery, HP Envy 4-1000 Battery, HP TPN-C102 Battery, HP HSTNN-UB3R Battery, HP HSTNN-IB3R Battery. But the large 15.6-inch touchscreen and a refreshed Intel Celeron processor are more than adequate for everyday computing tasks and casual multimedia consumption. Performance-wise, this HP 15 isn’t the most powerful around, it can get overly slow on some tasks, but getting a touchscreen for the price isn’t easy.

Features
•15.6" HD LEDTouchscreen Display (1366 x 768), 10-finger multi-touch support
•Intel Pentium Processor N3710 (1.6GHz, up to 2.56GHz)
•4GB DDR3L-1600 Memory; 500GB HDD Hard Drive
•SuperMulti DVD burner, HDMI, HD Webcam, DTS Studio Sound, Intel HD Graphics 620
•1 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 1 802.11b/g/n, Multi-format SD Slot, Win 10 Home 64-bits

The HP 15-BS020WM has a 1.6GHz processor, integrated Intel HD graphics and 4GB of memory. This configuration isn’t what you’d consider very powerful, but it does suffice for daily multimedia consumption, basic office use and other light computing needs. In the same category are better performing systems like the Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM and ASUS F556UA-AB32, both powered by Intel’s Core i3 processor, but the HP 15 adds a touchscreen that’s hard to come by in the budget category. For multimedia tasks, the system may not dazzle, but it also isn’t the worst performer we’ve seen around. While you won’t attempt Photoshop projects, casual entertainment and media editing will be just fine.

The three-cell battery yields 4 hours 39m minutes, on our battery rundown tests – quite decent for a budget 15-inch laptop. In as much as it doesn’t peak the 8-hour threshold for what we consider all-day battery life, it does last long enough to complete a short project before it dims. The Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM lasts 9 hours 45 minutes, just enough to last an entire workday or a Netflix binge-watching session.

The HP 15-BS020WM is, overall, a fairly capable budget laptop. In this category, there are lots of less expensive options, and there is certainly no lack of more expensive ones. For all those, finding one with a touchscreen is never easy, which is where this system scores well. It delivers good performance and promises to be a decent choice for anyone looking to buy a touchscreen laptop on a tight budget. Although it’s in the same range with the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM $469.00 at Amazon , which is still, our Editors’ Choice for budget laptop due to its higher-quality screen, superior performance and excellent battery life.

HP 15-Ay013NR Laptop Review

HP 15-Ay013NR Laptop Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

The HP 15-ay013nr, a midrange desktop-replacement laptop with battery such as HP 593548-001 Battery, HP HSTNN-OB1K Battery, HP LF246AA Battery, HP 740005-121 Battery, HP 740722-001 Battery, HP G6E87AA Battery, HP HSTNN-IB5T Battery, HP MR03 Battery, HP TPN-Q135 Battery, HP 10-E000SS Battery, HP 10-E030EF Battery, HP 10-E029SF Battery, has been updated with new features that push it from average to top of the class. Its other iteration the HP 15-ay011nr was one of the reasonably priced, large screen laptops with a fast processor and good battery life. Although released at the same time, we dinged it for having a slow 1TB 5,400RPM hard drive, since many midrange laptops now come out with snappier solid-state-drives (SSDs).

HP rectifies those shortcomings with the HP 15-ay013nr but still maintains the Full-HD (1920 x 1080) screen that wowed many of us in the HP 15-ay011nr. All that along with a fast 128GB SSD, 8GB memory and decent battery life, help the latest HP 15-ay013nr earn our Editors’ Choice for midrange desktop replacement laptops.

Battery life is good, not excellent. The system lasted 5 hours 37 minutes on our battery rundown test, which is acceptable for a basic system with a full HD system. The latest ASUS ZenBook UX330UA-AH55, with its eight generation processor leads the pack with all day battery life. Thanks to its lithium ion battery pack, the Zenbook UX330UA lasted 11 hours and 43 minutes on our rundown test, eschewing the Dell XPS 15 Touch (9550) (5:56) and even the MacBook Pro 15-Inch Retina Display (2014) (8:55).

The latest HP 15-ay013nr is a reasonably priced midrange desktop-replacement laptop with a lot going for it. Its improvements over its other iteration the HP 15-ay011nr, must be the faster 128GB SSD among other forward-looking technology like a Full HD display, a powerful sixth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, and strong battery life, all that look like real value for the buck for a midrange laptop. It has a larger screen, better battery life, and faster boot-times than most of its peers in the same category, making it an easy choice to recommend for work and college. It is our Editors Choice for budget desktop-replacement laptops.

Well, that was in 2016 and the release of the HP 15 just coincided with the launch of Intel’s sixth generation line of CPUs codenamed ‘Kaby Lake’ that saw us enjoy more powerful systems for ever decreasing amounts of money. To date, it has remained a steadfast favorite among office users, college students and enthusiast gamers, alike. A lot has changed since then, and consumers preferences have shifted, dictated by need for even better performance and longer battery life.

In Q1 of 2017, Intel launched its seventh-generation processors to succeed the 6th Gen. chips and on that line the Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 emerged as our newest Editors Choice desktop replacement laptops. It adds a couple of performance improvements over its predecessor that are tough to beat including: a seventh generation Intel Core i5-7200U processor, a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card, 8GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD storage. All these features combined with over 11 hours of battery life, make it our newest Top Pick for the category, worth having at the top of your list.

Both are similar to “apple” MacBook Air, differ in resolution display. For example, «Special» it is 2560×1440 pixels (QHD), whereas the model «Standard» – 1920×1080 (Full HD). By the way, the “special” model of speaker grille provided a bright red stripe. This review will discuss the “standard” new HP laptop 2015 Folio 1020, which is also able to surprise with something special.

As we have said, the appearance of the device is very similar to “apple”, especially its wedge shape. However, new HP laptop 2015 model Folio 1020 and has its advantages. In particular, the casing is made of magnesium alloy and aluminum, because of which is sufficiently easy. The outer and inner surfaces do not differ in color. In fact, the area around the screen keyboard buttons, the company logo and the bottom black, while all the rest – silver.

I must say that the laptop case meets US military standards MIL-STD-810G, therefore it is reliable and with dignity survive changes in temperature, humidity and differential pressure, as well as shock and vibration. Solve a variety of tasks to help filling consisting of a low-voltage processor Intel Core M-5Y51, integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics 5300 and 8 GB of RAM. Special attention should display a sufficiently high-resolution 2560h1440 pixels that transmits good color and has a touch surface. As for the housing HP EliteBook Folio 1020, it not only attractive, but also quite reliable, because meets the military standard MIL-STD-810G. In general, if you want to purchase this modern laptop, you have to think about whether you are willing to part with $ 2100 when competitors on the market offer no less interesting model.

HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

This tablet with battery such as HP HSTNN-IB4I Battery, HP HSTNN-C76C Battery, HP ZBook 15 Battery, HP ZBook 15 G2 Battery, HP ZBook 17 Battery, HP ZBook 17 G2 Battery, HP HSTNN-PB6M Battery, HP HSTNN-UB6O Battery, HP ZBook 15 Battery, HP LE03 Battery, HP TPN-W116 Battery, HP X360 15 Battery is designed for users of the business segment – evidenced not only new tablet of premium design and powerful filling, but the price is about $ 1,000. Despite a fairly long period of stay in the market of electronic gadgets, he lost all interest in customers and is also in demand in their environment.

The appearance of this new tablet of premium design is extremely restrained, but just that he gives the impression of premium tablets. The rear panel of the housing is made of aluminum silver, the front is protected super reliable glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with quality oleophobic coating. As part of the practicality new tablet of premium design HP ElitePad 1000 G2 really happy, because it almost does not remain fingerprints.

By the way, the plastic is used in a very limited number – a narrow strip at the rear for improved signal reception antennas of wireless modules.

The corners and the lines at the new tablet of premium design HP ElitePad 1000 G2 slightly rounded, thereby to hold in their hands a great tablet with a screen diagonal of 10 inches is more convenient. It weighs, by the way, a lot – 680 g, overall dimensions are 261h178h9.2 mm. This is not exactly modest rates, however, as practice shows, business tablets are increasingly being used to stand, docking keyboards and docking stations, hence the severity of the issue and considered critical Overall we will not.

From the functional components that adorn the tablet, you can select softkey Windows, which is located on the bottom of the display frame. During operation, it does not burn continuously, and briefly highlighted during the pressing.

The new tablet of premium design HP ElitePad 1000 G2 integrated 2-cell lithium-ion battery 30 Wh. This is enough to ensure the autonomy of 4-5 hours of playing games and watching videos with an average brightness of the display, or 9 hours, carrying surfing the Internet. This good performance among 10-inch business devices.

The new tablet of premium design HP ElitePad 1000 G2 can be classified as successful solutions for business users. And pluses him for his cost will be more than the minuses. Perhaps easier to name defects than to list the benefits – they include a small amount of internal memory (easily the decisive moment) and the lack of the necessary connectors in the housing (also solved, but for a tidy sum of about $ 200). In other words, new tablet of premium design ElitePad 1000 G2 – good solution for business and leisure to those who believe that the $ 1,000 – is quite bearable for the gadget, and who are willing to add on a few hundred for a full resupply new assistant.

HP ZBook x2 Laptop

HP ZBook x2 Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

With its powerful components and robust feature set, the HP ZBook x2 with battery like HP 722236-1C1 Battery, HP BL06XL Battery, HP HSTNN-DB5D Battery, HP HSTNN-W02C Battery, HP EliteBook 1040 G1 Battery, HP EliteBook 1040 G2 Battery, HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 Battery, HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G2 Battery, HP AR08 Battery, HP HSTNN-C77C Battery, HP HSTNN-DB41 Battery, HP HSTNN-IB4H Battery has its sights set on a small subset of photographers and artists who are contemplating abandoning a desktop or laptop as a primary creative tool. If you fall into that category, HP makes it easy to consider making that leap, with this detachable Windows tablet offering a quad-core processor, copious RAM, a discrete GPU, a 4K display, and unique physical buttons. On the other hand, its unwieldy weight and average computing performance compared with its competitors mean the ZBook x2 is more of an intriguing, albeit pricey, alternative to existing tools, not a revolution in digital art creation.

The Zbook x2 is a unique fusion of a mobile workstation (discrete graphics, lots of memory) and a detachable tablet (you can interact with it using just the touch screen after taking off the wireless keyboard). This fusion itself isn't new; Microsoft uses it to great success with the Surface Pro and the Surface Book, pioneers of the category that have inspired many imitators, such as the Dell Latitude 5285 2-in-1. The key traits that most of these Surface-like devices share are slim dimensions and minimal weight. After all, you have to be able to hold them in your hands to use them as true tablets. The Surface Pro weighs just 1.75 pounds without its keyboard cover, for instance.

The reason the ZBook x2 is unique even among this bunch is because it is comparatively not portable. Our review unit weighs 3.7 pounds by itself and 4.9 pounds with the keyboard cover attached. That's not heavy by gaming laptop or mobile workstation standards (HP's own conventional workstation Zbook 15 G4 weighs 5.8 pounds, for instance) but it feels like a ton of bricks if you're used to casually carrying around a tablet with one hand.

Of course, you also need to consider how the tablet functions as an actual computer. As its price suggests, the ZBook x2 is packed with high-end components. Most notable is the 32GB of RAM in our review unit, which is the same as you'll find in the ZBook 15 G4, but double the memory limit that most other tablets and convertibles offer. The Surface Pro, the Surface Book, and the MobileStudio Pro all top out at 16GB.

Several processor and storage options are available, with our ZBook x2 packing an Intel Core i7-8650U. The U designation means that this is a low-powered chip designed to prioritize energy savings, and it's an unfortunate but likely necessary compromise to keep the ZBook x2 from overheating or chewing through its battery life in an hour or so. Still, everyday computing performance matches the Microsoft Surface Book 2 and Surface Pro, with each of the three machines scoring just above 3,000 on the PCMark 8 test. That means there's more than enough power for web browsing, videoconferencing, and the like.

Perhaps the most puzzling part of the ZBook G4's component list is the Nvidia Quadro M620 GPU, with 2GB of dedicated memory. On the one hand, it's installed in the tablet itself, rather than Microsoft's approach of installing the GPU in the keyboard base. That means your graphics performance doesn't suffer when you're using the machine in Tablet mode. On the other hand, the Surface Book 2 includes a far more powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, which trounces the ZBook x2 on our gaming benchmark tests at 1080p resolution, producing more than 50 frames per second (fps) compared with the 18fps of the ZBook x2.

The battery, undoubtedly hindered by powering the HP's bright 4K display, managed a very short 5 hours, 6 minutes on our rundown test. That's a poor showing compared with the competition, each of which lasted for more than 10 hours, and abysmal next to the 17 hours, 12 minutes that the Surface Book 2 accomplished.

If you're a photographer or graphic designer looking to liberate yourself from a traditional laptop or desktop without giving up computing power, the ability to sketch with a pen, or efficient workflows for the Adobe suite and other similar apps, then the HP ZBook x2 is worth a hard look. As well-crafted as it is, though, it's not the only option. The Surface Pro and the Surface Book offer similar computing performance and form factors, while Wacom's MobileStudio Pro and Intuos Pro offer equivalent avenues for creative expression.

HP EliteBook 830 G5

HP EliteBook 830 G5

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

If you ask HP execs, they'll explain that the EliteBook 800 series is the company's mainstream business laptop line, competing with the likes of Lenovo's ThinkPad T and Dell's Latitude 7000 families. Challenging the upscale ThinkPad X1 and Dell XPS models is the job of the premium EliteBook 1000 series with battery such as HP CS03XL Battery, HP HSTNN-DB6U Battery, HP HSTNN-I41C-5 Battery, HP HSTNN-IB6Y Battery, HP HSTNN-UB6S Battery, HP T7B32AA Battery, HP EliteBook 755 G4 Battery, HP EliteBook 850 G4 Battery, HP EliteBook 840 G3 Battery, HP MT42 Battery, HP ZBook 15U G3 Battery, HP ZBook 15U G4 Battery. Yet we can't help but disagree: As a 13-inch system in a 12-inch chassis, the HP EliteBook 830 G5 (starts at $1,149; $2,379 as tested) reminds us oh-so-much of the Dell XPS 13. And while we've given the latter an Editors' Choice as our favorite high-end ultraportable, this new HP has certain features that could make business travelers like it even more. On the whole, we wouldn't put this model above the excellent XPS 13, mainly because of its screen and its heft, but it's a solid business ultraportable that will have appeal for a subset of business buyers.

Like other EliteBooks, the 830 G5 has passed MIL-STD tests that certify its resistance to shock, vibration, temperature extremes, and so on, though it stops short of being a fully rugged, droppable system like the Panasonic Toughbook 33 or Dell Latitude 7212 Rugged Extreme Tablet. It features HP's "collaboration keyboard," which has dedicated keys for making calls, hanging up, and sharing screens during Skype conferences. IT managers will like the laptop's support for Intel vPro manageability and HP Sure Start protection against BIOS hackers.

The EliteBook 830 G5 posted a superb score of 3,539 points in our PCMark 8 office productivity benchmark, tying the Spectre 13 and edging the XPS 13. It was a little off the pace in our Cinebench CPU measurement and Handbrake video-editing exercise, but its quad-core CPU still handily beat the dual-core, seventh-generation chip in the Dell Latitude 7380.

By contrast, the EliteBook did very well in our video-rundown battery-life benchmark, lasting through almost 12 hours of video playback.

Overall, this HP is a thoroughly competitive business notebook with a few attention-getting and IT-pleasing features, notably its collaboration keys and fast charging. If our test unit had had the 400-nit non-touch screen instead of the dim 220-nit display, it would have easily rated four stars; were it a few ounces lighter, it might have challenged the Dell XPS 13 for Editors' Choice. Even as is, it's worth considering for your company's next fleet deployment.

HP ZBook 15u G5 Workstation

HP ZBook 15u G5 Workstation

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

The ZBook name has been used with HP mobile workstations since superseding the EliteBook in 2013 with battery like HP Stream 11 Battery, HP Stream 13 Battery, HP Stream 13-C077NR Battery, HP Stream 13-C010NR Battery, HP HSTNN-LB6M Battery, HP HSTNN-PB6J Battery, HP PE03XL Battery, HP TPN-Q151 Battery, HP Chromebook 210 G1 Battery, HP Chromebook 11 G3 Battery, HP Chromebook 11 G4 Battery, HP Chromebook 11-2199NF Battery. The new brand survived the change from Hewlett-Packard to HP Inc. and quickly established itself as a mainstay of the workstation market. ZBooks became synonymous with combining high performance, good craftsmanship and HP’s excellent DreamColor displays. HP caters for more just the high-end though and launched the ZBook 1xu series for those who needed CAD-optimized GPUs but still wanted a power-efficient notebook. Our focus in this review is the ZBook 15u G5, one of HP’s latest offerings in its ZBook 1xu series.

Devices of the 1xu series are traditionally equipped with power-efficient ULV dual-core processors. Combining dual-core processors with a workstation has left us unimpressed thus far. The release of Intel Kaby Lake Refresh CPUs could change this though by introducing quad-core computing to ULV processors. We will find out in this review whether these quad-core CPUs can bridge the gap between workstations and ULV processors.

We will be comparing the ZBook 15u G5 against the ZBook 15u G4, the ZBook 15 G4, the HP EliteBook 850 G5 and the Lenovo ThinkPad P52s.

We will be skipping the sections about the case, connectivity and input devices as they are largely identical to the EliteBook 850 G5. The ZBook 15u G5 has only two aesthetic differences from the EliteBook 850 G5: The ZBook 15u G5 comes in a darker color and naturally carries the ZBook logo rather than the EliteBook logo. Information on these areas can be found in our EliteBook 850 G5 review.

Our test device is a more affordable ZBook 15u G5 configuration. Our test device is equipped with an Intel Core i7-8550U processor, 8 GB RAM, a 256 GB SSD and an AMD Radeon Pro WX 3100 GPU. This configuration costs around 1,750 Euros (~$2,059).

A second test unit was also provided by CUKUSA for us to double-check our benchmarks and results between two similar SKUs.

The ZBook 15u G5 has a 56 Wh battery. This is 5 Wh larger than its predecessor and is of a typical size for Ultrabooks. More powerful workstations typically have large batteries. This doesn’t mean they have better battery life than the ZBook 15u G5 though as they typically consume far more power thanks to their higher wattage CPUs. The only exception to this is the ThinkPad P52s, which has an Ultrabook CPU and footprint but comes with a 95 Wh battery thanks to its extended PowerBridge battery.

Clearly, the ThinkPad P52s has far better battery life than the ZBook 15u G5. However, the ZBook 15u G5 performs well, lasting 8 h 34 m in our practical Wi-Fi battery test. In this test, we run a script that simulates the load required to render websites. Our test device also lasted 10 h 23 m in our H.264 battery life test during which we run an H.264 video on a loop. These are good runtimes, albeit not outstandingly so. They are better than the ZBook 15u G4 but marginally less than the EliteBook 850 G5.

The HP ZBook 15u G5 appears to address the reasons for which we criticized the ZBook 15u G4 by packing an updated GPU and a more powerful quad-core CPU.

The ZBook 15u G5 is based on the EliteBook 850 G5, which is certainly not a bad thing. The EliteBook 850 G5 has some impressive qualities like the high-quality metal case and the decent touchpad. HP has even replicated the EliteBook 850 G5’s low surface temperatures and the decent selection of ports and security features. The ZBook 15u G5 has the same warranty period as the EliteBook 850 G5 too.

HP ProBook 430-G1 Notebook

HP ProBook 430-G1 Notebook

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the HP Laptop Battery

The smallest notebook of the HP ProBook 400 series with battery such as HP EliteBook 8460P Battery, HP EliteBook 8470P Battery, HP EliteBook 8560P Battery, HP EliteBook 8570P Battery, HP ProBook 6460B Battery, HP ProBook 6560B Battery, HP ProBook 6570B Battery, HP CC06XL Battery, HP HSTNN-LB6O Battery, HP HSTNN-UB6M Battery, HP ME03XL Battery, HP TPN-Q156 Battery is the cheapest subnotebook that HP offers its customers. This makes it a subject of interest for small businesses and even demanding private users. After testing the 15- and 17-inch models (ProBook 450 and 470), we now turn to the smaller sibling the 430.

This test model is much slimmer, lighter and saves on power (in comparison to its bigger siblings). In addition, the latest Haswell architecture can be found embedded in its heart, which we are grateful for, as many a manufacturer would have chosen the older Ivy Bridge generation. This feature makes the test model special and even unique: few models can offer the latest hardware in such a compact form.

Neither Dell nor Lenovo offer a subnotebook based on the Haswell architecture for business users. Fujitsu has the U554 (test coming shortly) which is priced higher. Buyers who are happy with the Ivy Bridge generation can choose the Dell Latitude 3330 (review with Sandy-Bridge processor) which is a subnotebook in the same price class.

The HP ProBook 430 uses a 44 Wh battery and a second battery is available for 65 Euros (~$87). However, different capacities are not available. The handy power adapter offers 45 W, which is enough.

The max possible battery life was measured by running the Batter Eater Reader's test. For this test we set the brightness to minimum and turned all modules off. The test simulates reading a text document and the laptop lasted more than 11 hours.

In the more practical WLAN test, the notebook is run at 150 cd/m². The battery lasts over 4 hours.

If both the processor and the IGP are stressed using the Battery Eater Classic test, then the battery is depleted within 2 hours.

2 hours is required to fully charge up the battery.

HP positions the ProBook 430 between the consumer and business classes. The model offers a few nice business features, like the fingerprint reader, data encoding software and the mobile broadband card. These set our model apart from the crowd. Furthermore, HP offers a multitude of accessories and the warranty can be adjusted according to the preferences of the user.

However, the laptop lacks a lot of physical security features, a docking interface and a good (better) display. The above-mentioned flaws deny the notebook classification as a business model. The scales are tipped in favor of the ProBook 430 by its pricing: a mere 640 Euros (~$862). For such a low price, it may be possible to stomach the performance throttling (to stay within the TDP limit) and the poorly-lit display. However, the flawed keyboard may prove to be the tipping point for many potential buyers.

Buyers willing to invest a little more money will find that adding a secondary RAM module or an SSD is well worth the effort. Overall, the ProBook 430 is not as well-balanced as one would expect of an EliteBook, but it deserves a recommendation thanks to its pricing. However, the buyer should not expect a full-blown business notebook for this price, as this model is closer to consumer devices and scores points thanks to its extensive warranty and upgrade options.
