Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Laptop

Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

When it comes to the New Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Series with battery like DELL PT6V8 Battery, DELL KR-08P6X6 Battery, DELL T7YJR Battery, DELL 312-0984 Battery, DELL DKK25 Battery, DELL Alienware M11X R1 Battery, DELL Alienware M11X Battery, DELL Alienware M14X R1 Battery, DELL Alienware M14X Battery, DELL Alienware P06T Battery, DELL Alienware M11X R3 Battery, DELL 8P6X6 Battery, (available at Amazon) there's a lot to love. From the premium design to the optional 2-in-1 hinge and 8th-Gen Intel i5 CPU, these machines have a little something for everyone. Since most of the best convertibles cost well over a grand, the 2-in-1 version is especially appealing. Not only is it travel-friendly and stylish as hell, it's affordable too.

The 2-in-1 model we tested, with its aluminum chassis and flexible hinge, feels more expensive than it actually is. In addition to the excellent build quality, you're getting a pretty zippy machine thanks to the 8th-Gen Intel CPU. The dual speakers also produce little to no distortion and the keyboard is an absolute dream to type on. While there's a lot we like about it, we had a few nitpicks.

The display is plenty bright and details are crisp, but colors aren't super vibrant. The battery life is also shorter than we like, so you'll definitely have to go outlet hunting at some point. Drawbacks aside, we still think the convertible we reviewed is worth consideration. If you're looking for strong performance at a reasonable price, you can't get much better than this.

When we put the Inspiron 13 through our primary battery test, which cycles through a series of power-hungry tasks, it fizzled out in a little under two hours. However, during our WiFi browsing test, the convertible hit a little over three hours. This test is less intensive, but more reflective of everyday use. Still, battery life isn't great, so you're going to want to keep the charger handy.

If you're looking for a zippy laptop that won't break the bank, the New Inspiron 13 7000 Series is a great choice. With its 8th-Gen Intel i5 CPU, optional 2-in-1 design, and powerful audio, these machines tic off a ton of boxes. While the 2-in-1 version we tested has a lot going for it, battery life is disappointing, so you'll need to keep the charger handy. And, despite the bright display, colors just don't pop like do on other screens.

If you're looking for a 2-in-1 with longer battery life, we'd recommend the Lenovo Yoga 720. Like the one we tested, the Yoga 720 has slim bezels and costs less than a grand. It's not as stylish, but if it's better battery life you're after, then this is a good alternative. The Inspiron 13 700 series is still a good choice, though, especially if you're looking to get your hands on the 8th-Gen Intel i5 CPU.

Dell Chromebook 13 3380 Review

Dell Chromebook 13 3380 Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

We first looked at the Dell Chromebook 13 back in late 2015, praising its build quality and full-HD display, but feeling it was a bit heavy at 1.46kg (3.23lbs).

Now we have the new Chromebook 13 3380 which, with a starting price of £259 (ex. VAT) with battery such as DELL 62VNH Battery, DELL 89JW7 Battery, DELL 9HRXJ Battery, DELL F7HVR Battery, DELL 451-BBEN Battery, DELL 451-BBEO Battery, DELL 451-BBJY Battery, DELL 451-BBLJ Battery, DELL G4YJM Battery, DELL T2T3J Battery, DELL Y1FGD Battery, DELL Inspiron 7537 Battery, is being marketed primarily at the education sector. Going forward, we can expect a renewed focus on Chromebooks in business, following Google's recent announcement of the Chrome Enterprise operating system -- although currently there are issues getting hold of business-class Chromebooks outside of the US.

Dell is bigging up the new Chromebook 13's 'best-in-class durability', and it's certainly a solidly built laptop. There's a sealed spill-resistant keyboard, while the rounded rubber finish on the edges of the base is a neat touch to help protect against drops. However, it's a pity there's no similar protection on the lid section.

The Chromebook 13 3380 is no lightweight at 1.61kg (3.54lbs), and it's also quite chunky at 332.9mm wide by 231.8mm deep by 23mm thick. It will certainly take up a significant slice of a student's backpack -- and help them to keep fit.

There's a light on the lid section that Dell calls the 'Activity Light'. This is controlled via an app that I had to download and install. Once in place it pops up three control options that activate the light in one of three colours. Blue is the Chromebook equivalent of raising a hand in class, red is the colour to ask a question, and yellow (although to my eyes it looks green), is the colour that indicates discussion. I couldn't work out a real-world use for the yellow light, but I guess teachers can use the Activity Light feature in a freeform way if they want students to work quietly. Gimmick or useful tool? You decide.

Unlike the Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA the screen doesn't swivel through 360 degrees. Instead it reaches just 180 degrees, which means it can be laid flat on the desk for students to share information. However, the fact that the keyboard isn't hidden away means a lot of desk space is needed if several students want to compare screens.

The 13.3-inch screen could do with another couple of notches of brightness. Its resolution of 1,366 by 768 pixels delivers enough detail for viewing websites, but having a webpage and a word processing document open side by side will prove a struggle. The screen is reflective, and looks a little lost in its wide bezel.

The keyboard is not as springy as I would like, but it has been designed to withstand some serious stresses in student hands, and is responsive enough. I had no trouble touch-typing at normal speeds. The wide touchpad is also responsive.

There's an adequate range of ports and slots: a full-size HDMI port, a pair of USB 3.1 ports, a MicroSD card reader and a headset jack. Dual-and 802.11ac wi-fi and Bluetooth 4.0 LE cater for wireless connectivity. There's no wired Ethernet port though.

According to Dell, the Chromebook 13 3380 should deliver at least ten hours of life -- plenty for a full school day -- on a single charge from its 4-cell 56Wh battery. During testing I managed several periods of three to four hours running mainstream workloads without taking the battery below 50 percent, so Dell's claim seems reasonable.

The Dell Chromebook 13 3380 is no lightweight, lacks a fully rotating screen and has a somewhat unforgiving keyboard, but it delivers good battery life and is solidly built. The less expensive models are likely to be of most interest to schools and colleges, which are increasingly operating on very tight budgets.

Dell Latitude 7480 Laptop Review

Dell Latitude 7480 Laptop Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

With its redesigned chassis, lighter weight and much-improved battery life, the upper-class Latitude once again ticks all the right check boxes when it comes to business notebooks. The 14-inch 7480 is equipped with current-generation hardware, offers great performance and features a top-notch keyboard and with battery such as DELL 34GKR Battery, DELL F38HT Battery, DELL G95J5 Battery, DELL 451-BBFY Battery, DELL PFXCR Battery, DELL T19VW Battery, DELL 909H5 Battery, DELL 451-BBFV Battery, DELL Latitude E7440 Battery, DELL Latitude E7420 Battery, DELL 3RNFD Battery, DELL Latitude E7450 Battery. Coil whine is very noticeable, however.

Mobility, security, manageability and reliability have long been the cornerstones of Dell's well-respected Latitude series. The 2017-version of the 14-inch model, which is now simply called Latitude 7480 - both the number 14 and the letter "E" have been dropped from the name - improves on the predecessor Dell Latitude 14 E7470 in several key areas, which will touch upon during the course of the review.

Dell's business notebooks have always impressed us with their excellent build quality and great ergonomics, but it's probably safe to say that the company has neglected looks in the past. With the latest two iterations, we are happy to report that this is changing as well. The new Latitude is sleeker than before and looks decidedly upscale while not neglecting the core values that made the series so great for business in the first place.

As part of the "Premium" 7000-line, the review laptop picks - in some ways at least - up where the "Mainstream" Latitude 5000-series leaves off. Our review notebook - which sells for $1850 - comes with 14-inch FHD IPS display, dual-core i7 CPU, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD and is therefore, at least as far as the hardware is concerned, strikingly similar to the mid-level Latitude 5480 we reviewed less than a month ago. The competition is thus similar as well and includes the higher-end business notebooks from Lenovo like the ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2017 or HP's EliteBook 840 G4, among others.

Our Latitude 7480 is equipped with a 4-cell Express Charge Capable battery with a healthy capacity of 60 Wh - good enough for a solid WLAN run time of 12 hours. While the Latitude 5480 with its even higher-capacity battery (68 Wh) lasts about 4 hours longer, the result is still quite impressive - especially when considering that the predecessor with QHD display and a 55 Wh battery didn't even last half as long. The maximum and minimum run time are also surprisingly good for this category. For most usage scenarios, the notebook will easily last the entire workday.

Charging with the notebook on took roughly 2 hours - not quite as quick as some other notebooks, but still decent enough given how long the battery lasts.

While not nearly as glamorous as Dell's own 13-inch and 15-inch XPS siblings, the Latitude 7480 is in some way the business-equivalent of those well-received mainstream machines. The good-looking 14-inch laptop is smaller and much lighter than before, but the build quality remains unquestionably high. The chassis is rigid with tight tolerances and features a soft, touch-friendly finish. The display is bright with accurate colors and non-glare as well, so road warriors won't have to deal with annoying reflections. The performance is top-notch - even though the CPU specific tests fall slightly short, the notebook excels when it comes to synthetic benchmarks - and the battery lasts all day even if it shouldn't be complete charged. The input devices are also very good with the keyboard in particular getting our nod as one of the best ones available on the market today.

The Latitude 7480 is a high-quality and solid business laptop. Its ever-present coil whine could be a deal breaker for some, however.

If there's one glaring negative, it's the coil whine, which is audible from at least 3 feet away and seems to be present regardless of the load level (but is of course most noticeable during idle). We certainly hope that this coil whine only affects our review notebook, but given that we observed the same type of noise during our examination of the Latitude 5480 and 7280, we wouldn't be surprised if this is a more widespread issue.

Dell Latitude 5285 Surface Pro

Dell Latitude 5285 Surface Pro

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

This might sound familiar: Dell's newest PC is a tablet with a built-in kickstand, that's meant to be used with a soft keyboard cover, and supports input from a stylus.

Yeah, it's the exact formula behind Microsoft's Surface. It even looks just like Microsoft's Surface. But in this case, it's Dell's Latitude 5285.

The Latitude 5285 with battery like DELL 451-BBFS Battery, DELL G0G2M Battery, DELL 5K1GW Battery, DELL 451-BBFX Battery, DELL Inspiron 15 7537 Battery, DELL Inspiron 17 7737 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7537 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7746 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7737 Battery, DELL Latitude E7420 Battery, DELL Inspiron 7737 Battery, DELL 2CP9F Battery is beat for beat a shot at the Surface Pro. It has a 12.3-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio (same as the Surface), supports up to a 1TB SSD (same as the Surface), includes up to 16GB RAM (same as the Surface), and supports traditional Core i processors from Intel (just like the Surface) — in this case, from its seventh generation release.

But there is one place Dell cuts corners: the Latitude's display. There's only one option here, 1080p, and that's significantly lower than the 2736 x 1824 resolution included on the Surface Pro 4.

That might be okay for Dell, since it's going to be selling these machines to businesses first and foremost, and getting high-end displays isn't necessarily every company's top priority. Dell also includes LTE and WiGig options, as well as support for fingerprint and security card readers.

Dell has already been offering similar 2-in-1s, but nothing quite so identical to the Surface Pro as this. Prior Latitude models included kickstand cases and bulkier keyboard attachments. Dell is even a reseller of the Surface Pro, with its own management services added on top. This new tablet seems like an attempt to siphon off some of those customers by meeting slightly different needs.

The Latitude 5285 will go on sale February 28th with pricing starting at $899 — exactly the same as a Surface Pro 4 with a Core i processor. Likewise, the keyboard cover will sell separately. Dell hasn't announced the price for that just yet.

Dell Inspiron 11.6 Laptop

Dell Inspiron 11.6 Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

I needed an inexpensive, lightweight, and small laptop to carry with me for basic web browsing and connecting remotely to work and this laptop has been perfect for that.

One thing I liked most about this laptop with battery like DELL Alienware M17X R4 Battery, DELL 6MT4T Battery, DELL G5M10 Battery, DELL 7V69Y Battery, DELL R9XM9 Battery, DELL 8V5GX Battery, DELL WYJC2 Battery, DELL Latitude 3150 Battery, DELL Latitude 3160 Battery, DELL Latitude E5250 Battery, DELL Latitude E5450 Battery, DELL Latitude E5550 Battery is the fact is has 4GB of memory. Most laptops in the same price range as this Dell Inspiron only have 2GB of memory. Believe me, you do NOT want to buy any Windows 10 computer with only 2GB of memory. Period! You will thank me later.

Some reviews talk about the laptop being slow and not having enough disk space. That's expected! It's not meant to be fast or have enough disk space to store very many programs. I actually think the weaker specs are a benefit of this laptop. The fact it has a low-end Celeron CPU and uses eMMC flash memory instead of a larger HDD (hard drive) results is much less power usage and thefore this laptop has VERY long battery life.

To compensate for the lack of disk space, you can always buy a MicroSD card and Windows can be configured to use the SD card to store all your Windows 10 apps and other documents. If you have a large program that can only be installed on the C drive (many Win32 legacy apps have to be) then you may run into disk space issues but this is a limitation of almost any computer in this price range. To help save disk space, I decided to not use 3rd party anti-virus software and uninstalled McAfee which freed up some disk space. Windows 10's built-in anti-virus (Defender) is now a viable option to use instead of installing a 3rd party anti-virus program.

If you feel the laptop is very slow, remember that when you first boot up the laptop it will be installing lots and lots of updates the first day or two you have your computer. That will make it feel slower than usual for a while.

Overall this laptop does everything you can expect for a laptop to do in this price range. Highly recommended!

Dell Inspiron 15 3552 review

Dell Inspiron 15 3552 review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

If you thought notebooks can’t get any cheaper, think twice. In the last few months, we did reviews on some ultra-budget notebooks that cover the bare minimum for your daily activities and costing just a fraction of what other laptops cost. You can check out Lenovo’s Ideapad 100, Dell Inspiron 5545, Acer Aspire E15 (E5-573) and even the most affordable Lenovo Yoga 500 with battery such as DELL Latitude E6520 Battery, DELL Vostro 3460 Battery, DELL Vostro 3560 Battery, DELL Inspiron 5420 Battery, DELL Inspiron 15R 7520 Battery, DELL Inspiron 17R 7720 Battery, DELL Inspiron N5010 Battery, DELL Latitude E6400 Battery, DELL Inspiron N4110 Battery, DELL Inspiron N5030 Battery, DELL Inspiron N5110 Battery, DELL Inspiron N7010D Battery that features roughly the same hardware but costs a little bit more due to the 360-degree rotating hinge.

Anyway, the laptop won’t surprise you with spectacular hardware but the provided quad-core Pentium N3700 CPU will handle most of your daily work and even multimedia as the laptop offers HDMI connectivity so streaming movies won’t be a problem. Also, the build quality isn’t bad at akk and the input devices are one of the best we’ve seen in this price range. Here’s how the laptop performed in our thorough tests.

The laptop comes in a standard box with the usual user manuals, AC charger, charging cable and the notebook itself.

The laptop is entirely built out of plastic but with a different finish. It’s relatively light (2.4 kg) for a budget model and pretty thin (21.7 mm) so it can easily compete against other alternatives on the market like the Lenovo’s Ideapad 100 and Acer Aspire E15 (E5-573). But the overall design is much different than those two.

You can definitely count on the big battery in this thing. Well, 40Wh might not seem a lot but it sure does the job for the energy-efficient and not so powerful processor with iGPU and the simple HD TN panel. Those two are the main power consumers and the battery unit holds off pretty well. You can see the runtimes below – they are considerably above average for the price range.

All tests include were run using the same settings as always – Wi-Fi turned on, power saver switched on and screen brightness set to 120 cd/m2.

The Inspiron 3552 is definitely a solid performer with little setbacks along the way. In terms of design and construction, the laptop impresses with relatively light and compact dimensions, some parts also feel pretty flexible and smudges stick pretty easily around the whole surface. Still, this is very common for this price range, but what’s uncommon are the surprisingly good input devices. The keyboard and touchpad are pretty comfortable to use.

And what about the hardware? Well, the TN panel on this thing won’t leave you breathless – big surprise – but the battery performance will go beyond your expectations, that’s for sure. We would like to note that the screen also uses PWM with really low frequency, which can be considered as aggressive. So using the screen at maximum brightness most of the time is advisable. And at the end, the quad-core Pentium N3700 will do just fine with your daily tasks and some light multimedia on the side utilizing the full set of features and capabilities. We can easily say that it’s just a better version of the former Dell Inspiron 5551. The updated processor makes the laptop your money worthwhile.

The TN panel presented in this model has nothing too special but given the price point of the product, the results from our tests were definitely expected. We’ve seen some mid-range laptops with almost identical specs to the one presented here so we can’t really get too picky on this. You will be met with uncomfortable viewing angles, low maximum brightness, more than half of the sRGB gamut is not covered and the contrast ratio is sub-par. However, the color temperature aligns almost perfectly with the optimal one. And last, but not least, the screen appears to have PWM across all brightness levels, except 100%, of course, and the frequency of the pulsating light is quite low – 260 Hz, which is considered to be aggressive.

Dell Latitude 6430u Review

Dell Latitude 6430u Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

The Dell Latitude 6430u with battery like DELL Inspiron N7110 Battery, DELL Latitude 5537 Battery, DELL 9TJ2J Battery, DELL Precision M4400 Battery, DELL KR854 Battery, DELL P267P Battery, DELL 318-0397 Battery, DELL BTYVOY1 Battery, DELL C0C5M Battery, DELL 7XC9N Battery, DELL 451-11817 Battery, DELL Alienware M17X R3 Battery is an exemplary business notebook. It offers the sleek and elegant design expected of an ultrabook with the steady performance business users need. Add in the machine’s comfortable keyboard and touchpad and users have a device that delivers functionality and comfort on all levels. Admittedly the mediocre 14-inch display leaves a bit to be desired especially at the machine’s $1,500 price point (price at time review was written). Nevertheless, the great build quality and strong performance levels of this device make it strong choice for users who value productivity first and foremost.

The Dell Latitude 6430u won’t blow you away with its port selection, but the device offers all of the basic connectivity that users need. More importantly all of the ports are well spaced and easy to access, as the device makes use of its entire surface area.

The Dell Latitude 6430u really shines when it comes to performance. Equipped with a third generation Intel i5-3427u quad-core 1.8 GHz processor and 8GB of RAM the Dell Latitude is able to take on most computing functions with relative ease. The machine was able to juggle several programs easily, even running multiple video streams without any noticeable decline in performance. In fact, the Dell fared so well that it ran just as smoothly with multiple programs in the background as it did with only a single program active.

To test battery life we used our new PowerMark benchmark in balanced mode. The test consists of a combination of automated web browsing, word processing, gaming and video playback workloads. The test is far more strenuous than our previous test, measuring the machine under a litany of scenarios to better simulate real life use. With the test being far more demanding the scores are understandably lower than our previous benchmark.

In our tests the Dell Latitude 6430u ran for 3 hours 55 minutes before shutting down after reaching 5 percent battery reserve. The 4 hour test roughly equates to more than 6 hours of real time use. It’s not the longest lasting ultrabook on the market, but this machine still manages to offer impressive battery life and it helps to bolster the device’s already impressive portability.

The Dell Latitude 6430u is an ideal unit for users who want a mix of portability and productivity. The sleek ergonomic design makes the notebook easy to hold and traverse with, while the extensive battery life ensures that the device will last while in the absence of a power supply. Additionally, the impressive Intel i5 quad-core processor with 8GB of RAM allows the notebook to tackle a plethora of programs simultaneous; and to top it all off the well-built keyboard and touchpad provide a comfortable experience to help maximize productivity.

All of these features do come at a price though, as the machine is listed around $1,500 (price at time review was written). While that is fair price for this machine, users who want to watch or interact with media, will find the Dell Latitude 6430u seriously lacking.

However, the integrated graphics and standard definition display are more than serviceable for users simply looking productivity and that’s exactly what this device is geared towards.

Dell Precision 3520 Laptop

Dell Precision 3520 Laptop

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

Dell Precision 3520 with battery such as DELL MR90Y Battery, DELL XCMRD Battery, DELL Inspiron 3421 Battery, DELL Inspiron 5421 Battery, DELL Inspiron 5521 Battery, DELL Inspiron 5721 Battery, DELL Latitude 5437 Battery, DELL Latitude 5537 Battery, DELL Latitude 2521 Battery, DELL Vostro 3445 Battery, DELL Vostro 2521 Battery, DELL Vostro 3546 Battery is Dell's introductory mobile workstation—one affordable enough for those just getting started ($2,386 in our test configuration) or those who needs might not require a mighty Xeon processor and Nvidia Quadro P5000 graphics. This includes people such as illustrators, graphic artists, Web developers, video creators, and podcasters, as well as some 3D modeling and CAD workers. Those doing high-end filmmaking, challenging 3D animation projects and VR development will want to look up the line, but must be willing to pay the price.

Design-wise, the Precision 3520 has a no-nonsense look that will fit into any business setting. If flamboyance is your thing, you won’t find it on this machine. It’s a simple slab of black plastic with not much more than a silver Dell logo emblazoned on top. However, I’m not complaining, I find the design understated and to the point. Think efficiency and getting the job done.

At just under five pounds with dimensions of 1 by 14.6 by 9.9 inches, the machine is small and light enough to take pretty much anywhere and just about what one might expect for a machine like this. However, there are other systems that weigh less (such as the four-pound Apple MacBook Pro), so if you’re dead set on finding the thinnest and lightest 15-inch mobile workstation, the Dell 3520 is not it.

The Precision has ports on the left, right and rear of the machine. On the left, you’ll find a USB Type-C port with optional Thunderbolt 3, important for those who work in media production or with massive amounts of data since Thunderbolt 3 allows you to connect things like large hard drive arrays and multiple external displays. There is also a USB 3.0 port, an SD card slot for easy transfer of photos and videos from cameras and other recorders, and a Smart Card reader (for those who actually still use those things). As is the case with most mobile workstations these days, there is no internal optical drive.

The Precision 3520 offers up to 2TB of storage via a 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or 1TB via a SATA or PCIe M.2 solid-state drive. Oddly, Dell's configuration Web page won't let you specify both an SSD and a hard drive. Our test unit had a speedy 512GB NVMe M.2 drive. Those seeking additional storage can attach external drives via USB or the optional Thunderbolt 3 connection.

After fully recharging the laptop, we set up the machine in power-save mode (as opposed to balanced or high-performance mode) and make a few other battery-conserving tweaks in preparation for our unplugged video rundown test. In this test, we loop a video—a locally stored MP4 file containing the full The Lord of the Rings trilogy—with screen brightness set at 50 percent and volume at 100 percent until the system conks out.

While the Precision 3520 may not win first prize in the CPU and GPU tests, it’s a whole different story when it comes to battery stamina. Not only does the Dell win first place here, but it does so by a healthy margin. To be sure, the other machines contain more power-hungry components such as 4K displays and potent graphics cards. Still, if the Precision fits your requirements and you find yourself on the road a lot, you can expect very long battery life, and that’s a very good thing.

Overall, we're happy to give the Dell Precision 3520 a thumbs-up as a robust machine aimed at the lower part of the mobile workstation audience. Some will seek 4K displays, two or more Thunderbolt 3 ports, or faster graphics, but those needing a best-in-class machine can open their wallets for a higher-end solution. However, if your needs are more modest, the 3520 lets you save some money while still getting a true mobile workstation.
