Dell Latitude 6430u Review

Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist of the DELL Laptop Battery

The Dell Latitude 6430u with battery like DELL Inspiron N7110 Battery, DELL Latitude 5537 Battery, DELL 9TJ2J Battery, DELL Precision M4400 Battery, DELL KR854 Battery, DELL P267P Battery, DELL 318-0397 Battery, DELL BTYVOY1 Battery, DELL C0C5M Battery, DELL 7XC9N Battery, DELL 451-11817 Battery, DELL Alienware M17X R3 Battery is an exemplary business notebook. It offers the sleek and elegant design expected of an ultrabook with the steady performance business users need. Add in the machine’s comfortable keyboard and touchpad and users have a device that delivers functionality and comfort on all levels. Admittedly the mediocre 14-inch display leaves a bit to be desired especially at the machine’s $1,500 price point (price at time review was written). Nevertheless, the great build quality and strong performance levels of this device make it strong choice for users who value productivity first and foremost.

The Dell Latitude 6430u won’t blow you away with its port selection, but the device offers all of the basic connectivity that users need. More importantly all of the ports are well spaced and easy to access, as the device makes use of its entire surface area.

The Dell Latitude 6430u really shines when it comes to performance. Equipped with a third generation Intel i5-3427u quad-core 1.8 GHz processor and 8GB of RAM the Dell Latitude is able to take on most computing functions with relative ease. The machine was able to juggle several programs easily, even running multiple video streams without any noticeable decline in performance. In fact, the Dell fared so well that it ran just as smoothly with multiple programs in the background as it did with only a single program active.

To test battery life we used our new PowerMark benchmark in balanced mode. The test consists of a combination of automated web browsing, word processing, gaming and video playback workloads. The test is far more strenuous than our previous test, measuring the machine under a litany of scenarios to better simulate real life use. With the test being far more demanding the scores are understandably lower than our previous benchmark.

In our tests the Dell Latitude 6430u ran for 3 hours 55 minutes before shutting down after reaching 5 percent battery reserve. The 4 hour test roughly equates to more than 6 hours of real time use. It’s not the longest lasting ultrabook on the market, but this machine still manages to offer impressive battery life and it helps to bolster the device’s already impressive portability.

The Dell Latitude 6430u is an ideal unit for users who want a mix of portability and productivity. The sleek ergonomic design makes the notebook easy to hold and traverse with, while the extensive battery life ensures that the device will last while in the absence of a power supply. Additionally, the impressive Intel i5 quad-core processor with 8GB of RAM allows the notebook to tackle a plethora of programs simultaneous; and to top it all off the well-built keyboard and touchpad provide a comfortable experience to help maximize productivity.

All of these features do come at a price though, as the machine is listed around $1,500 (price at time review was written). While that is fair price for this machine, users who want to watch or interact with media, will find the Dell Latitude 6430u seriously lacking.

However, the integrated graphics and standard definition display are more than serviceable for users simply looking productivity and that’s exactly what this device is geared towards.
